For our next event we headed to the charming landscape of Basil & Bergamot's Flower Farm. Situated on 10 acres they grow a variety of seasonal flowers and the best part is they focus on sustainable & organic growing methods. Emily Daniel started Basil & Bergamot in 2016, with the goal of creating a biodynamic farm that protects and enriches the environment around them. They have grown to include multiple hoop houses, fields, and even an adorable llama on site!
This was one of the first times they opened up their farm to the public so it was quite a special day. Emily showed us around and we chatted about the best flowers to grow in your yard plus pest management techniques to use at the height of summer.
Stay tuned for more tips from the tour!
