It's that time of year when we start to long for warm spring days and starting seeds. Seed catalogs are one of the best resources for starting a garden.

We are keeping it simple and sharing a variety of options (and our faves!) to explore when it comes to seed selection.

Southern Exposure Seed Exchange | Print and digital versions.
They work with small farms and offer non-GMO, organic, and heirloom varieties. They are also passionate about giving to a variety of organizations dedicated to sustainable agriculture.

Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds | Print and digital versions.
One of the most exciting catalogs! Inspirational heirloom seeds that will keep you coming back again and again.

Hudson Valley Seed | Digital version only.
They deliver beautifully packaged art packs and focus on non-GMO, open-pollinated, and mostly organic seeds.

Botanical Interests | Print and digital versions.
They strive to deliver seeds that will grow in a wide variety of conditions with easy to understand instructions. Also, they are passionate about organic gardening, non-GMO, and heirloom varieties.

High Mowing Seeds | Print and digital versions.
Great at sharing stories about their seeds and growers. Plus, they sell certified organic seed potatoes for varieties of early-season potatoes, mid-season potatoes, and late-season potatoes.

Steele Plant Company | Online shop only.
At C & M, we love a great sweet potato. While this is not a catalog, I wanted to include a resource for these delicious veggies. Also, we have grown the "Bunch" Porto Ricos and can attest they have a naturally sweet taste that differs from what you get at the grocery store - we'd say they are better!

Johnny's Selected Seeds | Print and digital versions.
An employee-owned company offering non-gmo, organic, hybrid, and open-pollinated options. If you’re looking for options that are disease resistant and adapt to climate, then hybrids might be your answer!

Renee's Garden | Digital version only.
A line of seeds that have been tested for every major US climate zone. Plenty of non-GMO, organic, heirloom, hybrid, and open-pollinated options.

Seed Savers Exchange | Print and digital versions.
These guys have been around since 1975 and have a collection of 20,000 rare and open-pollinated seeds. These seeds have stories passed down from generation to generation.
